How to list education on resume
In a recruiting agency or firm, as a rule, a set is made for several vacancies, so be sure to make the headline “Goal” in the next heading. Here you should write what vacancy, job, or field of activity you are applying for. Otherwise, your resume will simply be thrown into the trash can. Nobody will sit and think what kind of work could be offered to you. In the target point you can also specify your wishes, requirements for the future job. Education
Create the heading “Education” and list the educational institution, schools, courses, institutes, etc. which you have already completed or are still continuing to study: Use either the reverse chronological order, that is, the last place of study indicate the first, or the principle of significance, that is, first specify the place of study most relevant for the desired job. For each training place, provide the following information: a period of study with an exact (month, year) indication of the start and end dates of the training; the place of study (if the name of the educational institution should not be its location, indicate the city, the country) and, finally, indicate the qualification you received at the end of the training, ie indicate the title (certificate, diploma, certificate, etc. on specialty) List only those places of study that are important for a given, sought-after job. Experience
Create an “Work Experience” heading and list the locations of your previous work: Use either reverse chronological order, that is, indicate the last place of work first, or the principle of significance, that is, first specify the place of work, where your experience is most relevant for future work For each work place, provide the following information: a period of employment with an exact (month, year) indication of the start and end dates; employer (give name of firm, city, country); post; responsibilities (in the three or four sentences list your responsibilities). List only those jobs that are important for the job you are looking for. Hе leave gaps in the dates of the employment period.
If you honestly wrote your resume and got to this place, then you can congratulate yourself it’s half done. This completes the compulsory information without which your resume is unlikely to be used for its intended purpose and begins, although not necessarily, but no less important. You are given the opportunity to specify additional information about yourself, but remember: you must specify only those that are directly related to the “goal”. Additional Information For example, you know how to work on a computer, know foreign languages, have typed letters, embroider a Bulgarian cross, you have a driver’s license. If any of these skills can help you cope with your future responsibilities, then specify them by creating the appropriate headings, such as “computer knowledge”, “foreign languages,” etc. For specialists, for example, programmers, I recommend to specify more detailed information (programming languages, operating systems, databases, Internet programming). In the section “foreign languages” it is desirable to indicate not only the level of language proficiency, but also where and how long you taught it. Depending on the purpose, it may be appropriate to indicate “awards”, “publications”, “participation in conferences,” etc.
